What you can do inside MarginOS

MarginOS is a Profit & Inventory OS for Shopify brands. This page shows what’s under the hood: the Engines, data model, and integrations that turn your raw data into trusted, actionable profit calls.

Who MarginOS is for

Shopify DTC brands doing $3-12M/year, running paid media, and using 3PL / warehouses, with 2k+ orders/month, whose founders or finance leads are tired of guessing profit per SKU and channel from spreadsheets and basic Shopify reports.

Ready to see this on your own data?

Get your Profit & Inventory Command Center

Guarantee: connect Shopify, ads, and 3PL once. If you don't see at least three specific profit moves you'd actually implement (new SKUs to scale, SKUs to cut, or campaigns to adjust), you simply don't continue after the trial.

Powered by Profit & Inventory Command Center

1. See yesterday, this month, and what to do next in one view

  • Windowed Performance Snapshot (yesterday, last 7/30/60/90 days, this month vs plan)
  • Customer Economics and Cash & Inventory Health summarized at the top
  • Retention Snapshot for repeat‑purchase brands
  • “Today’s Top Moves” and “Biggest Risks” so you always know what to fix, protect, or scale next
Best for: founders who want a single Shopify dashboard that shows real profit and margin per SKU and channel, plus weeks of cover, not just revenue and ROAS.
Powered by Growth Engine

2. Track profit by SKU × channel after 3PL, shipping, and fees

  • Profit & Inventory Matrix by product family × channel, ranked by gross profit per order
  • Instantly see “looks good on revenue, terrible on margin” products and channels
  • Weeks of cover next to performance so you don’t scale into a stockout
  • Drill from portfolio product family contributing SKUs in a couple of clicks
Best for: answering "which products and channels actually make money after COGS, 3PL, shipping, refunds, and fees, in contribution margin, not just ROAS or revenue?"
Powered by Catalog Profit (Yield Engine)

3. Trust your margin numbers before you act

  • SKU‑level workspace for COGS, 3PL, payment, and refund fees
  • Find SKUs where bad or missing cost data is hiding margin leaks and fix them once
  • Flag “problem SKUs” (high returns, low margin, or data issues)
  • Cleaned economics feed every other Engine automatically
Best for: operators who want one place to clean COGS, 3PL, shipping, payment, and refund fees so every profit and margin number in the business is trustworthy.
Powered by Plan Engine

4. Plan sales and inventory based on profit, not just revenue

  • Set product‑ and channel‑level targets by SKU or family
  • See plan vs actual in the same view you use to run the business
  • See plan vs actual for both revenue and contribution margin, not just units and top line
  • Spot where spend, promos, or inventory don’t match the plan and adjust quickly
Best for: teams that want sales and inventory plans driven by contribution margin, not just revenue or units, and need plan vs actual in the same view they use to run the brand, including CAC payback and LTGP:CAC where it matters.
Powered by Replenish Engine (Beta)

5. Grow repeat revenue without guesswork Beta

  • Predict “likely to reorder” cohorts for repeat‑purchase products
  • Time nudges and offers so you don’t cannibalize natural demand
  • Learn which products and channels actually drive profitable repeats
  • Acts as a profit-aware inventory reorder tool: which SKUs to restock, when, and on which channel, based on contribution margin and weeks of cover.
  • In beta: expect rough edges; your usage and feedback train it on real‑world data.
Best for: lifecycle and retention teams who want reorder nudges and offers timed to profit per order and weeks of cover, not just open rates and click rates.

More Engines Coming Soon

MarginOS is actively developed alongside our Founders Beta community. New Engines and integrations are prioritized based on real ROI and customer votes.

Works with the tools you already use

Direct connections. Zero dev work required.

Built to answer three hard questions:
  • "What's my true profit per SKU after 3PL & shipping?" Shopify + 3PL / cost data + ShipStation / ShipBob
  • "Which channels drive profitable customers, not just ROAS?" Google Ads + Meta Ads, plus email/SMS, organic, referral, and other non-paid channels
  • "Which products should I scale, pause, or liquidate based on inventory and margin?" WMS connectors + Command Center

Warehouse, WMS & shipping integrations

We’re rolling out direct WMS integrations so MarginOS can:

  • Ingest real‑time on‑hand inventory and inbound POs by SKU and location.
  • Pull location‑specific fulfillment costs (pick/pack, storage, surcharges) into your unit economics.
  • Tighten weeks‑of‑cover and stockout risk signals in the Profit & Inventory Command Center.
Result: your Command Center and Yield Engine stop guessing based on delayed invoices and start using warehouse‑grade truth. You’ll see more accurate:
  • Weeks of cover and stockout risk
  • Per‑SKU gross profit after true fulfillment costs
  • “Scale / pause / liquidate” recommendations that respect what’s actually in the warehouse

Live today: ShipStation for shipping labels and carrier costs.

In partner review: ShipBob, the first full WMS connector implemented end-to-end. We're currently awaiting ShipBob's approval to make it broadly available.

All connections are read‑only. MarginOS never edits campaigns, orders, or warehouse settings.

Developer APIs & Data Freedom

MarginOS is your profit model as an API. Once you trust it, your own BI tools and AI agents can query profit per SKU, weeks of cover, and LTGP:CAC directly.

Live Today

Write API

  • Push inventory and cost data directly into MarginOS via API instead of flat files.
  • Keep landed COGS, fees, and location‑level inventory in sync with your internal systems.
  • Ideal for brands with an in‑house data team or custom tooling.
Public documentation is in progress. If you want access today, we’ll provide API specs and examples during onboarding.
On the Roadmap

Read API & MCP

Next step: a read API and MCP server so your own tools, agents, and internal dashboards can query your MarginOS profit model directly.

  • Pull profit‑aware metrics (e.g. gross profit per order, weeks of cover, LTGP:CAC) into your own BI or notebooks.
  • Let internal AI agents use MarginOS as the single source of truth for profit and inventory decisions.

Your data, your models – MarginOS is the profit engine behind them.

  • Business-line mapping: separate DTC from wholesale, marketplaces, and retail so DTC metrics are truly DTC-only. Includes overrides and a custom rules engine so you can fine-tune mappings if we ever get them wrong
